Ars Bioarctica

Residency

Ars Bioarctica is an art & science initiative with a focus on subarctic environment, taking place at the Kilpisjärvi Biological Station of the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences of University of Helsinki, located in in Gilbbesjávri, Sápmi. Coinciding with the founding of Bioart Society, the program was first initiated at the station in 2009. Currently, Bioart Society facilitates an ongoing Ars Bioarctica residency program and organises our Field_Notes biannual field lab at Kilpisjärvi.
