Carol Müller
For the past 15 years, Carol Müller’s photographic work has focused on the Nordic landscape. Numerous artist residencies in Scandinavia and Russia have allowed Müller to enter into a dialogue with the landscape and produce a deep investigation of it. Irrigated by an intimate dialogue with literature, science and history, her images explore the fictional power and the memorial charge of territories. Landscape is an enigmatic given, and it's the intensity of overlapping meanings that Müller wants to convey. Her work has been nominated for the Mentor Prize (2017-2021) and won the second prize in the 2018 Julia Magareth Cameron Special Prize. It has been presented in Barcelonna Biennal and Riga Photo Month. Müller had her first Solo show in collaboration with the physician Jacques Marteau in Jules Verne Museum in Nantes.
