Bioart Society is pleased to share three new opportunities by partners from the State Of The Art Network (SOTAN) that are open for artists and scholars:

 

Deadline for all calls May 16th, 2022

 

Open call #1: THE REWILDING AND EARTH MAKING TOUR at the Faroe Islands

An eight-day tour and festival with excursions, hikes, conversations, and workshops. 

Location: Koltur, Tórshavn and Syðrugøta

Date: July 11th-18th, 2022

Application: Send an email outlining your motivation, your practice, and other relevant information to jonsonnijensen@gmail.com.

The organizers will cover costs for international and local travels, accommodation, food, materials, and the G! festival weekend passes.

Open call #2: Turfiction, in collaboration with the Research Project Turfiction, University of Iceland

A week-long workshop including fieldwork in Iceland, approaching architecture and design for a multispecies future. 

Location: Reykjavik and field sites in the North of Iceland 

Date: July 10th-16th, 2022

Application: Send a letter via email sharing your motivation, including your practices and methodologies to tgretarsdottir@gmail.com.

The organizers will cover international and local travels, accommodation, dinners, and a honorarium.

Open call #3: More-than-Human Ecologies symposium, organized by RIXC Centre for New Media Culture in Latvia 

Transdisciplinary symposium with workshops and discussions.

Location: RIXC Fields Residency and Irbene Radiotelescope

Date: June 10th-13th, 2022.

Application: Send a short motivation letter via email expressing your motivation to participate to rixc@rixc.org, introducing your background, as well as a proposal for your contribution to the evening program (e.g. presentation at “SOTAN Show and Tell sessions”). Please include a link to your portfolio or website.

The selected participants will be provided with accommodation, travel, and food/subsistence. Online participants will be provided with the workshop materials upon request.
