We are looking for new moderators for the next interarctive virtual exchange week of our Erasmus+ collaboration project Climate University Virtual Exchange (CLUVEX) which will take place online during 12–16 May 2025.
During the virtual exchange week, students from European and Eastern European universities will for 3 hours a day discuss and learn about the latest scientific knowledge on climate change from multidisciplinary perspectives, from natural and social sciences and the arts.
The sessions are organized via Zoom with around 500 students. The daily meetings consist of lectures, discussions, and workshopping in small groups of 10 students and a designated moderator. The moderator’s central role is to facilitate and guide the international and interdisciplinary interactions, workshopping, and learning in these small groups.
Moderators are expected to take part in three orienting sessions prior to the virtual exchange week and familiarize themselves with independent study materials. The sessions will be held online via Zoom:
26 March at 14:30 (Finnish time): TR1 Introduction
9 April at 14:30 (Finnish time): TR2 Group exercise
30 April 14:30 (Finnish time): TR3 Orientation for the week and Q&A
The moderators will receive training to facilitate and guide international students in their exercises and group workshopping. This opportunity is best suited for students as credits and certificates related to studies are offered for those moderating. However, anyone interested in developing online interaction, pedagogy and language skills in an international environment is welcome to apply.
Moderators will
- Receive an internship certificate relating to their studies
- Receive 3-5 ECTS by Open University at University of Helsinki
- Hone their online interaction, pedagogy and language skills in an international environment
- Increase their contacts with the CLUVEX network and universities
