SOLU Space

Since 2009, the Bioart Society has been running art&science residency Ars Bioarctica at the Kilpisjärvi Biological station located in the Finnish subarctic/Sápmi. So far 204 artists, scientists and transdisciplinary working groups have attended the residency. The Time and River are alike exhibition offers a glimpse into this residency, mediated through video, audio and photo works by five artists.
Johanna Rotko: Living Images

Visual artist Johanna Rotko works with living materials, mainly different yeasts. The exhibition features yeastograms - images made with living yeast cells - photographs of Rotko's research, and a video piece introducing her working methods.
